Ina Balin is remembered

We pay tribute to the great life and career of movie star & humanitarian, Ina Balin, on this day, June 20th, that she was taken from us 20 years ago. May she rest in peace. Ina Balin's beautiful spirit touched the lives of so many worldwide.

  1. Do you know if Ms. Balin ever painted? There is a series of paintings that several of us have that are signed Balin. We know that she was partial owner of the Balin-Traube Gallery in the 1960's but was she a painter (oil and impressionistic--Parisian scenes, ocean vistas and , yes, clowns?)? We know she was a photographer. About six people are inquiring on this question.

    She was such a multi-talented person with such a great talent and a big old heart. She left too soon!

  2. Ina was a dear friend of my Mother, Janey Klein and I was deeply affected by news of her death.

    I wrote a beautiful performance piece in tribute to her and will be presenting it 20 years later in a poetry reading on Nov. 5th
